About the Event

As professionals, it’s easy to put our own growth on hold while we lead, manage, and support others. This evening is an invitation to pause, reconnect, and invest in yourself — alongside a community that understands the journey.

Whether you’re an established executive, an emerging leader, or somewhere in between, Advancing Women in Business is designed to help you recharge, gain perspective, and leave feeling inspired and supported.

Join us at MSU’s Management Education Center in Troy for an engaging evening featuring a panel of accomplished women whose career journeys offer real-world insight, honesty, and inspiration. You’ll also have the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals from across Metro Detroit in a welcoming, high-energy environment.

Jaclyn Sanday

Director of Talent Management for North America | Stellantis 

Jaclyn Sanday is an experienced Human Resources and Talent Development leader with more than a decade spent strengthening organizational capability, leadership growth, and workplace culture at Stellantis. She currently serves as Director of Talent Management for North America and Career Pillar Co‑Chair for the Women of Stellantis Business Resource Group, where she supports initiatives that help employees build meaningful careers and expand access to development opportunities.

Jaclyn is deeply committed to creating environments where people feel empowered to grow, lead, and succeed. She has played a key role in designing and facilitating leadership development experiences, cross-functional learning opportunities, and large‑scale talent initiatives that reach employees across the organization. Her recent work includes helping bring to life multi-day talent development events, leadership summits, and programs that strengthen skills, connection, and career mobility for employees at all levels.

Grounded in her background in organizational effectiveness and a passion for developing people, Jaclyn brings forward a balanced, thoughtful approach to advancing careers and supporting an inclusive culture. She is also actively involved in community service, and youth coaching, reflecting her long-standing belief in contributing to growth both inside and outside the workplace. Based in the Detroit metropolitan area, Jaclyn earned her MA in Organizational Change Leadership from Western Michigan University and her BS in Human Resources Development from Oakland University. Her most proud accomplishment, now and forever, is being a mom to her three beautiful girls. 

Kathy Richardson
Leadership Coach & Business Innovation Specialist | United Wholesale Mortgage

Kathy Richardson is a people-first leader, executive coach, and proud MSU Broad alumna with more than two decades of experience helping organizations—and the people within them—grow and thrive. She currently serves as a Leadership Coach and Business Innovation Specialist in the mortgage and financial services industry, where she partners closely with leaders to strengthen communication, navigate change, and drive meaningful results.

Throughout her career, Kathy has led cross-functional teams, improved customer experiences, and guided large-scale process improvements across organizations such as United Wholesale Mortgage, Stellantis, and Google. Known for her ability to simplify complex challenges and build trust quickly, she brings a thoughtful, authentic approach to leadership grounded in collaboration and continuous learning.

Beyond her corporate work, Kathy is an entrepreneur, nonprofit president, author, and creator who is deeply committed to empowering women and emerging leaders to lead with confidence, purpose, and heart.

Nutrena Tate
CEO/President | Brand Nu Consulting, Inc.

Nutrena H. Tate, PhD, MBA, RN, CPNP-PC, NEA-BC, FADLN is an accomplished nurse executive, scholar, and equity-driven leader with more than 30 years of experience spanning pediatric clinical practice, academic leadership, nursing research, and executive consulting. A tenured Associate Professor and former Associate Dean in the College of Health Professions and McAuley School of Nursing at the University of Detroit Mercy, she has led accreditation, curriculum innovation, faculty development, assessment, and student progression while advancing inclusive academic and clinical learning environments. Dr. Tate most recently served as Director of Nursing Research at Henry Ford Health, where she strengthened system-level nursing research and evidence-based practice infrastructures. She is President and CEO of Brand Nu Consulting, Inc., providing executive consulting, DEI strategy, leadership development, and grant services to healthcare systems, academic institutions, nonprofits, and governmental agencies. Nationally recognized for her scholarship and service in pediatric health equity, leadership development, and justice-centered care, Dr. Tate serves as President-Elect of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and as National Dean of Membership for Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated, and is a Fellow of the Academy of Diversity Leaders in Nursing. She is happily married The Honorable James Tate Jr. President of Detroit City Council and proud dog mom to Sassy Mae and Prissy Love.
